Hello everyone. I'm spankin' new to this forum, and have a question for anyone who can answer it.
I recently installed a V & H fuelpak, and when I was finished, noticed that I had a rubber line (see picture) that seemed to be disconnected. Seeing as how I was a dumb-***, and didn't think to look at this before I started, I'm now left wondering if this is a vent of some sort, or if it's supposed to be attached somewhere. I've looked all over, and can't seem to see where it would even attach to. I'm not going to ride the bike until I figure this one out, so...
I just went and checked my 06 FXDCI and it's definately a breather and is meant to look like that. In fact it's the other end of the hose connected to the chrome cover you see behind it.
Have a look from the other side of the bike and you can see the whole thing.
The fuelpak was as easy as they say to install. Just be VERY careful when you have to route it through the electrical box and under the seat. It's a pretty tight squeeze over, under, and around a bunch of factory wiring...
labfreak, what kind of air cleaner is that? I want to lose the factory one I have and I don't think they make the Cycle Smith teardrop I had on my sporty for the big twins.
