Rotor rubs in rear
I found my front caliper to have sticking piston and they brake pads were worn uneven, like only one piston was worksing. I bought a real nice rotor and have a newer caliper to install, moving to the rear I found the rotor rubbing.
I have an updated one from ebay coming with a replacement rotor. Not new just allot better.
I notice the bushing on the current caliper are worn along with the pins. I'm thinking that's what happened as to why the rotor rubbed.
I'm thinking it sticking floating caliper.
I will make sure replacement has normal movement in the brace.

glad to know you can replace the older 09 with 17 calipers!
Picked up some rebuild kits for the originals to save.
I was thinking of using a .05 shim to move the rotor towards the center of the working area of the caliper. The one shown is a .062 but I also ordered a .050 that I would try first because of the location land.
Don't know if that is a great idea, but I will try without it first and the updated calipers assembly and used great condition rotor.
From what I see the rotor needs to move outside a little.
I know the pads were worn but still within specs so it shouldn't be rubbing the caliper assembly.

Interesting it looks like that post is the same smooth rim I have.
For me to try that I would have to switch the rotor and sprocket with new bolts then have my new tire switched over for rotation.
Sound expensive. I think I'll try to live it and maybe just use the original caliper assembly and new brake pads and make a note next tire change to swap the rim around.
