Default Primary fluid level in 2007 Dyna Low Rider

I was told to fill my primary with the bike standing straight up to the bottom of the clutch spring, is this correct and which outer diameter, shown by red arrows, is considered the bottom of the clutch spring in this photo, the inner or outer diameter? (fluid level measured from the very bottom of course) Any additional advice would be appreciated..thx!

You want to go by the lower arrow. I would recommend you get a factory service manual. That way you don't have to wonder about what someone tells you but you can always come here for advice.
Anyway, it looks like you have it filled to the right level.

Yup, your top arrow is closer to where you want to be.

Thx to all who replied and the pics too. I have a service manual and it says 32 oz (1 qt) for fluid change and I swear both times I have changed fluid I measured 32 ounces and it always fills to nearly overflowing out with bike upright. I have always had a problem with oil leakage at the seal between inner primary and trans. That is when I questioned the manual and asked how high the oil level should be and if that is causing the leak. Last night I removed the oil level to correspond with the pics and rode it again. No oil drops on the floor after parking and sitting overnight. It’s possible I made a mistake but twice would be odd. Maybe low rider primary takes less than 32 oz IDK but I will ride it like this a season and drain and measure exactly how much I put in the next change to verify.

This is the correct level for all big twins since mid 1984 (bike vertical).

A little less won`t hurt a thing.
