It was like when I went to a Chinese resturant , and looked out the window and the entire chinese family were taking turns sitting on my bike and taking pictures. I was pissed. They are no longer in business.
I know the feeling of having a bike damaged. I had a Ducatti knocked over in a parking lot. After the repairs were completed almost 5k worth of work. All payed for by the guy who "accidently " knocked it over. The bike never felt the same to me soI never rode it and it just got sold. May be if I had customized insted of returning to stockI would not have had such a bad feelingof the bike being violated. Make the company pay for the cost of the repairs and customise the hell outof it
im willing to bet the bars are a little off as well as anything that made contact with the ground.Make sure the dealer doesa good evaluation and does not just quick eyeball it. Good luck Dsrtdoc
I would file suit agianst the individual that moved my bike, the company doing the work (he's their employee ath the time), the company that hired them (another employee) and their parent company if one exist. You name the whole line in a suit guarantee they will all make sure it gets fixed, and don't forget the stress this causes and the inconvienence of being wihtout your bike while under repair.
Well I've cooled down some, Yeah the bike was covered and the blacktop people will cut me a check to pay the deductible so far, the fall totaled out the fuel injection system not to mention the mirror handlebar a/c and throttle and in my opinion my bike will be a piece of $hit from now on. I will know more on Monday after the shop gives me the finale cost.
Still Pissed

A check to cover the deductible??? What kind of screwed up bs is that? They need to be covering the entire amount of the damages. Period.

I'm with you on being a tad bit angry.. However I find the above bolded statement a bit absurd. If you were to drop it yourself would it be a POS? I dropped mine man, and in addition to being angry I was embarrassed also. The pride took a much larger hit that the bike. Is it a POS? Nope, never.
Is you're going to be after a bit of mild work? Nope - better than ever.
Hang in there man, and get er' fixed up right. Will be slightly better than new in no time.
If I dropped it then I would have to deal with it. But for someone else to do it, who had no reason or right to touch it, its a different story. Same thing with a dent or scratch in your car that someone else did. Its the first thing you look at all the time. My bike was caught outside in a 10 minute rain storm while in for service at the dealer. Over half of my chrome hardware rusted inside the allens. Not my fault. I made the dealer replace every piece of hardware on my bike, rusted or not. Bike has never been in rain and gets completely blown dry and wiped when washed. Even with new hardware, I still see it rusty when I look at it. Must be something mental (or ****). You see things differently. Get it taken care of to your complete satisfaction because you will have to look at it for as long as you own the bike. If they don't want to deal with you, look at the people they employ and ask them if they would like to deal with immigration?
You have every right to as mad as HELL, I know I would be. Theywould pay all damages in full. Theywould provide me with a rental Harley same model that was damaged. I would never run this claim through my own insurance.
People need to be taught lessons, and I'd make an example of this FOOL. As said before, you wouldn't just hop on someones car to move it.
Someone said that it is just a bike?????? I know had that been my bike I would have been wanting a name and address of the a-hole that put his hands on my bike.
People need to remember one simple rule........"IF IT DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU KEEP YOUR F'ING HANDS OFF, PERIOD"!!!!
I hope you get things resolved quickly with your bike.
I was not there when their man moved my bike, but it was BAD, he didn't get on the bike to move it according to him he kicked the jiffy stand up and attempted to roll / push the bike and it got away from him (as he squeezed the brake lever it didn't stop the bike) NO $hit he was squeezing the clutch lever well anyway the bike hit a curb in the perfect spot and totaled out the above mentioned. In my profession I come in contact with many attorneys every week I will be calling one on Monday before I agree to putting ink on any piece of paper
