How does this labor quote sound?
Called up my local dealer because it is about time to do the inner primary bearing. I figured that since they have to pull it all apart anyways it would be a good time to do forward controls. They want 4 hours @ $80 an hour just for the forwards and 1 hour for the bearing. At about $400 does that sound reasonable? For anyone that has pulled there inner primary, would it really take an extra hour to replace the bearing if it is already pulled apart to get the shifter shaft out?

why is the primary bearing being done?
warranty?
if you were only getting the bearing done,what would be the cost to you? $0?
if the bearing is a warranty item - sounds like they are trying to pocket a couple hundred bucks extra to do the forwards.

4 hours if a lot of time...I was quoted 2 hour, so I said screw it, I will put a set on myself and if I ever need to pull the primary they can remove the shaft at that time.

My indy guy's taking the forwards off and putting the mids back and charging me $120 for labor. He charges $60/hr so he figures it to be 2 hrs (I was always good in math).
