Anybody tried these out? I'm thinking about the medium sized one without the pockets on the sides (#66). I kind of doubt it will hold all full face helmets like the site claims. I really like the fact that it is only 14 inches wide. It looks like it will keep its form and would probably look good on the back of a wide glide rack.
I've thought about saddle bags but 1. they are so freaking expensive (HDs). 2. I haven't seen many that work with the 01 WideGlide. 3. I kind of like my Chrome axle covers and just the look of the back of the bike.
thanks for that link, these look like pretty high quality and sturdy. Like the lock also, won't stop someone who really wants to rip you off, but will discourage the punk passerby.
I like the cruiser bag the most compared to the lazy biker and biker's friend. It looks sharp and would provide nice additional space on a temporary basis (maybe if I make a solo long haul trip). I am looking for a more permanent solution however without getting into the great big Harley tour pack trunk ($$). Ideally, I'd like to have somethig to fit on the stock deluxe rack setup i've got that would look retro... the old Heritage Springer 2-Up bag is perfect, but their rareity seems to be driving their prices up over 700 bucks (ouch!). The small Boss Bags trunk is the closest thing I've seen so far, but was just wondering if anyone had one and how they like it... or what it looks like on their bike (the boss bags website doesn't seem to have any pics of the small sized trunk bag mounted on any bikes).

1. Yes...they are expensive.
2. Really?
3. I don't understand what axle covers have to do with bags.

Wow, this old thread came back.
1. agreed
2. I didn't want to move my turn signals. Since then I found some synthetic bags by River Road that work great.
3. The HD bags cover up the chrome axle covers if you have them. I guess you can see them if you lay on the ground. Not a big deal but a factor among others.
