I have found a place that sells the hub spacer I need to align the rotor and caliper using my stock 19 inch wheel.......also the kit comes with the needed axle spacers and even the fender spacers all in billet....... I'm kinda slowing up on changing my Dyna since in about another month or so I'm gonna be a grandpa....LOL I wanted to wait until I was 60 to be one of those guys but my youngest wouldn't listen and now at 55 I'm gonna have a grand daughter.... I will complete my front end by spring.....Winters are hell here !!!!
It seems to me that the '08 fat bob may give an easy solution for wide glide conversion.Swap trees for fat bob trees (rake and trail remain the same). Get new wg axle, spacers and hub.Relace existing rim with wg hub. Havent done it yet. But I think thats the way im gonna go. Any thoughts?
I'm new to this forum. Been reading for a few weeks, and decided to sign up. Pretty cool site.
WS6..........sick ride Bro. REAL nice.
I am in the process of gathering the parts to do this exact setup. I snagged a 2010 wide glide wheel and tire with 0 miles off eBay.
I am getting the black fat bob trees, a wide glide axle and wg spacers. Total from zanottis is like 250 shipped. Then just need a couple spacers for the rotor/caliper. Should be fun winter project. I will make sure to post any issues I have and some pics. And would love to hear and see yours.
At this time I have a Dyna 19" mag wheel on a new style Fat Boy front end. Required axle spacers and disc spacer. The place that did the machine work for me had a disc spacer -I don't know what year- that had to be trimmed a little narrower. The 19" wheel does not ride on the stock 1in. axle in the correct places. Axles have raised areas for the bearings to ride on. I seem to have a little tire wondering at slow speed ( it may just be me ) but none at hiway speeds.
I don't need a whole kit but I would like to find an axle made for my project.
There is a Wide Glide Hub kit out there comes with an adapter for the wheeel and spacers and a new axel (I Used the one that came with the New Front end) It cost me $177. 00 it came from "Custom Engineering Cycle, it worked great for me, I did need to to some fooling aroung to get the combination on the spacers
