Anybody take a slide?
A few years ago I slid my honda shadow in a corner on a wet, cold street at night. Once I got it up and back on the road the only things that were damaged were my jeans, one edge of the tank, the mirror, grip, footpeg and tailight. Was able to ride it home and order the parts and complete a pretty cheap fix. Now I've got a FXD and got to wondering if anyone had laid theirs down and how it held up? I'm considering an engine guard but I really like the clean looks without it. I know those engine guards say that they're just for tip-overs but I'd think they'd provide pretty good protection in an accident. What's everyone's take?

being a new rider when i got my fxdci i put them on and they are still there. i put highway pegs on them .did a run a couple weeks ago. goign down I80 when 2 bikes got too close and bumped eac other . one went down. scraped the highway bar about half way through. got a small scrap on his leg he was glad he had them
