Default Scratched Tree Surfaces

I have a 07 Lowrider and noticed the trees are showing signs of fine scratches. Seems the more I try to buff them out the worse it gets. Typically I have been using carnuba wax and microfiber rags (new). Tonight I tried some chrome polish to take out the fine scratches but it made them worse.

Anyone have a suggestion.

Chrome is a plating it never gets any more brilliant than when they pull it up out of the bath. Clean chrome with WD-40, windex, and a light rubbing with a soft cloth. Metal polish pastes are for metals that are already dull and need to be shined or increased in their brilliance. Chrome is as shiny as it gets and any polish will slowly add dullness.

Aluminum polish works better on the aluminum trees.

I believe this is aluminum material and it would appearit hasa clear coat over it. When I talked to the dealer they said it was chrome and to just wax it. It didn't work.

I'll try some polish to see if the (fine scratches come out) and will report back.

it's aluminum, through and through...polished a bit....not the best, but you can make it shine with some aluminum polish.... it is easy to scratch... i used Never-Dull on mine for a while, and it scratched the hell out of it

For anyone wanting to polish aluminium, try FLITZ.
It stomps mothers in the ground.
