Had my Low Rider detailed today. Got home and noticed that I now have some very prominent soap stains on the engine where the soap wasn't completely rinsed off prior to the ride home. I tried wiping 'em off with a wet rag but I guess the engine heat "bakes" that stuff on.
Any tips on a quick and easy way to get the stains off?
Jeffbcn is on the money with the Pig Spit, it works great, returns the black on the engine to like new condition. It will cover or get rid of wax, soap, and ageing on the engine paint. (Up to a point of course, obliviously it isnât going to make a very old or badly abused engine look like new, but it will certainly help make it look better. Asnice andnewas your bikes enginelooksPS will sure enough take care of the soap spots.)
Pig Spit will just cover it up but probably not get rid of the soap stain for good. Try S-100 bike cleaner or something like it first to try and get rid of the stain then use the Pig Spit after to make the engine sparkle.
Mr Clean magic earser will take it right off no muss no fuss
We have a winner.
Just happened to have a couple of these laying around the house and gave it a try. Worked like a champ - although you need to be sure and blow out the "sponge crumbs" before your next ride. There a couple of spots that were hard to get to and I'll pick up some S100 tomorrow to finish it off.
