I put on about 300 miles or so on a wekend run through 50 degree temps and some patches of fog and drizzle. HoweverI rode onabout 95% brand new highway so that made the trip worth it. My problem came today when I went to cleanmy bike. The throttle doesnot snap back when I release it. The trottle lock is loose and the throttle does slowly come backbut not like it should.What do I need to do? Thanks for input I'm a new Harley owner and don't know much yet!

Maybe the cables need lube, or you might check and see if the star shaped throttle tension screw (locatedon the bottom ofthe throttle housing) has some how been tightened to the point that it is binding the throttle.

I had the same thing (noticed it a couple of nights ago) and traced it to an electrical cable that was interfering with the cable return mechanism by the throttle body. Just positioned it out of the way. By the way, it ends in a capped off connector...anyone know what it's for?

The cable is for the coming "fly by wire" as the the 08 flh mod already got.

Black Bob, the connector attatches to the stock air cleaner on European bikes, when i replaced mine with a V&H Big Sucker i had to cap off the said connector to prevent a warning code appearing on the instruments.
