I would never post an e-bay link, but I have a connection with this guy Dustin. I bought my 05' from him. FYI, the reserve price is $12,200. I know this because I just got off the phone with him.
An 06' Wide Glide with 5k miles for $12,200... Kind of hard to beat that...
that's cool but my concern is I need to see before I buy. I am in Tampa Fl. so I am willing to travel the state in search of the best deal but not so sure about the country. Nice to be in such a heavy Harley dealer state though. I have found some great deals (or so it seems) on bikes outside of Tampa just have not traveled out yet to check em out. Waiting till I get my course completed before i venture out so I can take the bike home right then. Also I am limiting myself to dealers because of the security of them having some type of inspection process before they put their bikes out there for sale. sure would feel better knowing someone looked over the bike and may have replaced any thing that may have been an issue. Still got a couple of weeks before the bike is mine so definately want as much views and advice as possible before I take one home. I have already decided that it will be an 08 superglide not an 07 due to the price decrease and I am still into my favorite Harley... the Wideglide.
Another option: Stretch for an 07 Wide Glide... you won't be sorry. You only live once!
You'll find the dough to pay for it... The satisfaction level of getting what you REALLY want trumps the pain of paying an extra $40/month.
JMHO
Good luck in any decision you make...

believe me I would easilyspend the extra cash but the wife is Involved and I respect her too much to spend more than we decided. We are paying cash. I actually had to get her more involved to move from a sportster budget to the Dyna budget. Been with her 5 years and we have a beautiful relationship so I know trying to stretch more would be a big situation. Don't wanna become a divorse statistic.
I understand... But in my case, I wanted a WG and if I got anything else I would always wonder what it would be like having a WG. Dustin has a shop and every bike is road ready when it sells. He has had people fly to him from NY and Canada to do the paperwork and ride the bike home. Or he'll ship it for $625 east of the Missippi River. That's how I got mine, delivered. Not trying to change your mind, cuz it's your money... Just throwing out some options...

noted and bookmarked... we'll see what pans out in the next couple weeks.
Doesnt sound like much of a dilemma to me. '07 Superglide without a doubt; for all the same reasons previously listed.
your in my neck of the woods hoping to see that 1200 in person someday... that bike is inspirational !!! Also if you have some recommendations of what dealer to choose in the area... As you know we got a few... P.M. me please... if you don't want the public to knowe your feelings on this.
