I think my favorite cheap mod is my chrome flame magnets on the tank - 10 bucks for the pair.
WTF??? Those aren't painted on? What's next - You going to tell me those aren't 8" bars???

Mudd you sure got them off the subject and all you had to do was mention mattress. Seems to be the only thing more important than mods to bike. And thank youGod for that

A few cheap add-ons that made a difference for me were some visors (speedo, headlight, turnsignals and tombstone tail light), a couple of skulls on the dash, dash indicator bezel, chrome axle caps and chrome riser bolt caps.

My bottle opener - I had three separate comments on it today. People crack up when they see that thing (then they want to know if it really works... which is odd)

dash indicator bezel for sure. makes a big difference, and for only $8. best touring bike part you could put on a street bob.

Don't forget that ugly "do not twist" sticker on the fuel gauge. It went away the same time the reflectors did.

I've hated the VIN stickers, but not sure I'm brave enough to pull them off just yet.

That wrinkle horn cover is sure an improvement over that chrome monstrosity I have firefighter3666, is that something you painted yourself or did you buy it?

See my post above for pic - chrome surround semi-rectangular bezel surround, just below speedo.

sniper77 - the horn cover is an OEM for a Night Train. I ordered it through the dealer, think the cost was around $35. I also replaced the aircleaner football with the OEM Night Train (wrinkle black) with the stock FXDBI trim ring sticker. Helped to balance out the black and shiny.

I know thismight be jumping on the bandwagon, but I have to give Jakyl his props..... 2" tank lift, makes a hell of a difference in the lines of the bike.
