Default Big little things.

It's great when you find those little things to change that you feel really improve the look of your bike. I had a few spare minutes today and removed the reflectors from the front forks and it looks great, actually, it really gives the bike a more finished look, IMO all plastic is bad plastic... also removed the lower belt guard as soon as I got the bike.

I really like finding these little cosmetic improvements I can make myself, free of charge

Anyone have any other cheap fixes/impovements to make to an almost stock bike?

Too many to mention................... I can remember 1 (cause I just did it today).

$9 for 4 chrome bolts for the speedo mounting bracket to handle bars.

Drilling the pipes out for free, when the 06 was new (man, they have gotten loud).

That darn $3 cigarette lighter

Did you notice any negative effects when removing the lower guard?

A small thing that I think makes the bike look more finished is axle nut covers.

monk, it's no secret.

*if* you wanna really get radical,
you peel off the VIN sticker from the downtubes.

Man, I gotta tell ya.
Felt/looked so good,
made my big toe stand up in my shoe.

Then, for an encore,
went in and pulled the tag off my mattress.

Man mud, you really live on the edge. Downtube sticker and matress sticker, in the same day. Oh geez, the jackbooted thug matress ***** will be having a few words with you. You'll be making license plates for sure.
OK, seriously, what'd you use to remove the sticker? Is that the only place the VIN is on the bike?

Yes Mud, Please tell us the best/easiestest method to remove that horrid sticker without damaging the paint finish.
Does it involve heat, or a blonde?

shooter,
not so much about living on the edge.
Way over the edge for many years now.

My nuts.
I kick em up in front a me when I walk.

And I'll kick the s hit outta those mattress ***** too.
Right. Right??
My liar, I meant lawyer, has a retainer in pocket
specifically to keep me from hammering out license plates.

Itz justa forkin decal.
The VIN is stamped in the frame.
And, there are #s all over these newer machines.

In the 1960s, if you owned an HD,
there was a 110% chance that it would be stolen.
Cause a lot of em got heisted twice.

Way different nowadaze.
I almost don't even worry about that.
It's those important cell phone conversations
that keep my ears perked up and my radar focused.

If I remember correctly,
I applied light heat with a heat gun,
and they peeled right off.
Put them all in an envelope
(under my mattress).
Not really sure why I put them all in an envelope.
