Does the front end feel flexy? Does the bike feel planted in corners or does the front feel vague? I'm sure a brace wouldn't hurt anything, but the 49mm forks seem like they ought to be stout enough without a brace.
ok since you have the new dyna I'll spare you any search preachin. valid question. my first two questions, tryin to remember the front end, is how wide are the trees and whats the rake. you've got a nice big tire also. depends are your riding style. imo I think it'll bemore aestheics than performancefor the fatbob.
I used to think my front end flexed and wobbled ... now i'm used to the bike i don't notice any. i wonder how many people who buy the braces convince themselves it helps when, in fact, they are just getting used to the bike. I'd like to see some independent analysis of the braces if they have any noticeable effect.
My advice is put at least 1000 miles on before buying bits (apart from an exhaust you can hear of course !) ...
Bro the next step for your front end could go something like this..... Retro fitting a corvette tire in between the front forks, and installing training wheels on the back.
i would be adding a bigger fender to cover that front tire to make the front end look better and you should be able to get one for about the same money you would spend on that brace. give shooter64 a shout he will give you a good price on a front fender. i got mine from him now just need to get it mounted and painted.
If you don't push your bike hard through the twisties,ou probably won't notice an apprectiable difference in handling.
On he other hand, if your ride fast and hard into the turns, I would strongly suggest the investment.
I noticed a big difference when I installed mine on the 06FXDI recently. I had ridden over 15K before deciding to purchase the fork brace.
