Default A slight exhaust problem

Well winter approaches andI was trying different ideas for riding pants and well my snowboarding pants keep me warm on the slopes.... unfortunatly while keeping me warm on my ride in to work part of the pant leg melted to the exhaust. Any ideas on removing molten goo from exhausts?

Believe it or not try wadding up some aluminum foil and rub it on the area the melted stuff is.

When I get my ol' lady's shoe sole melted to my pipes I just leave it alone until it bakes off. If finally will bake to a crisp and come right off.

Try getting it off after you get the pipes hot again. Be careful though and be sure to use a clean cloth. If it's truly "goo", try some goo-gone (not on hot pipes LOL).

Long,
Did the same thing a while back. read the boards and most recommended was acetone or oven cleaner. Used the acetone and it worked real well. Good Luck.

peel off what you can cold/hot, and when pipes cold spray some WD40 on the remainder. Chrome Polish will clean up the rest....
Many of the suggestion here will work, just don't use anything abrasive.

Snowboarding pant will wrk better, if you can fit them under some chaps.
