thats a damn good deal. I got mine for 12.5k because of the motor's "character" (no ***** down low, hits like a freight train at 3500, does not idle cold, and don't even think of riding it unless its been running for ten minutes) But it hauls a$$ and i love it. If ya like it, go for it.

RE: NEED HELP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, its top of the line and loaded, but it's used. For the same coin you could be looking at a NEW Dyna Super Glide. You would get a lower interest rate, 2 year warranty, free hog membership, and all the bells & whistles that go with buying your bike from a respectable dealership, (there are quite a few).
You might get a break on insurance because of the smaller engine.
Aftermarket parts are worthless. He's trying to unload the bike because the dealer is offering him 9000 I would bet. Like one of the other guys said offer 10.5k and get a good price..... It's a beautiful bike but it's got a smaller motor, not fuel injected and used. good luck man
I'm sorry if i didn't write this in my initial post but.... this bike is being sold at a harley dealership, not by a private owner. still a good buy?
Its about $2300 too much. But a beautiful bike, Do they have maintenance records? If so, I would negotiate from there. Add $1200 to a new HD to get the lean mixture and temps down. Think about that and make your choice..

I agree with you up to a point. Aftermarket parts depreciate more than the bike itself, but they aren't worthless if your'e buying them.
If you want apes and chrome sliders, two tone paint, a luggage rack, backrest, pipes, etc. and start paying for them, they might not seem so worthless.
I "think" that a new wide glide with two tone paint might be almost $5k more than a base Dyna - a superglide.
It is a little pricy but as everyone else has told you bike has a lot of expensive add ons nice looking as long as its taken care of prob worth it. Keep in mind dealers have left over 2007 $14,500 Bigger motor, 6 speed, and warranty but if you want to reproduce that 03 it would take another pile of money. Good Luck
i paid 13500 for mine back in july and it came with a two year warranty. love the bike. i don't think that is a bad price at all. plus it is the last year that carbs were available for the wide glide = easier for me to work on + less expense when you change things such as pipes and air cleaners. not to mention i like the 100th anniversary bikes. if it rides good and you like it go and get it you'll be glad you did oh and mine had like 10500 on the odometer and is sitting around 15000 now it is a very nice riding bike and is easy on the back, i needed this since i have had three back surgeries. don't worry about all the other it's a bike and it's there to enjoy and ride.
Id offer $9,000 with that mileage. The new Dynas arent like the Harleys of old.I know as I have an 84 and an 06 Wide Glide. The Harleys of old held thier value due to thierreliability and the availability of parts. The new Harleys are a different breed and IMHO have a touch of disposibility to them. You hear of tales of primary bearings going south within 1500 miles and such.It seems that in an effort to compete with the Japanese manufacturers we have become thier clone.
If you look on ebay right now you will see 6 2003 WideGlides with less mileage for the same price.
