Id offer $9,000 with that mileage. The new Dynas arent like the Harleys of old.I know as I have an 84 and an 06 Wide Glide. The Harleys of old held thier value due to thierreliability and the availability of parts. The new Harleys are a different breed and IMHO have a touch of disposibility to them. You hear of tales of primary bearings going south within 1500 miles and such.It seems that in an effort to compete with the Japanese manufacturers we have become thier clone.
If you look on ebay right now you will see 6 2003 WideGlides with less mileage for the same price.
Here's what I see on ebay right now and none of them has all of the extras that the subject bike has. I also don't know why the comments on mileage I'm seeing. Seems to me like 10k is low enoughfor a 2003.

I searched for a Wide Glide for about 6 months because I am such a cheapskate. I found a 2001 Wide Glide on Ebay for $8100.00 with 21K on it. But no extras. And it was within 100 miles of me so not much expense in getting it. If you look long enough you will find a deal.

Depends on what you consider a deal. If you took your bike and put all of the extras and optionson it that I can see in that pic, you'd have about $12k in it. And your bike would still have 21k miles on it. And, you'd have to go through the hassle of getting all of that work done. Also, you wouldn't have a 2 tone anniversary model - not that that's worth money, but some really like it. And, your bike would still be 1 year older in the book.

Also, ebay scares the heck out of me on vehicles. Too many Katrinas, etc. out there.

I'm still saying that the bike is not a bargain, but if I loved everything about it I'd buy it.

It's at least $9k cheaper than a new one identically equippedand should depreciate less.

I'm appalledwhen people encourage cheaper interest rates on new ones.Think about what interest and depreciation can do to your finances over time. If I can't pay cash I don't buy anything. That's probably why I can pay cash. I liked writing a $12k check for my Deuce which was already loaded much better than I would have liked writing a $22k check for the same setup new and it shouldn't depreciate nearly as much as a new one.

My money's still in my pocket.

Just my $.02.

I got the same bike, except all black and without apes...with 3,000 miles on it for $12,995. So you may be able to negotiate a little.

First thing- check to see if any signs of ever being dropped/layed down. Look for possible scratches on the derby cover, clutch lever, clutch lever housing, edges of mirrors, edges of foot pegs/controls...ect.
Not a bad price for an anniv. Wide Glide with what I'd consider to be low miles for a bike 4+ yrs old. All depends on how much you want an anniv wide glide though? For what he's asking, you can buy a brand new wide glide for a couple thousdnd more (especially this particular time of year!). Yah, he's got alot of mods, but anyone will tell you who's sold a bike before that mods don't account for sh*t!
Looks like he did apes, chrome lower front forks, forward controls, custom timer cover, custom battery cover, sissy bar, straight shot pipes (maybe V&H?), relocated turn signals...ect. It'd be nice if you could get this bike for around $9-9,500? Look on ebay to get an idea of what they're selling for for this year/miles? All-in-all...looks pretty good to me?

Baker, just what extras doYOU see on either bike.I see ape hangers and a lugage rack.Even if you hid the wireing on the hangers its a 1/2 days job.Luggage rack, well maybe an hour. When selling or buying a used Harley,(Or anything for that matter)extras are never the deciding factor, its the general condition and mileage of the bike that always counts.
Now for the rest of the post about the price being in range..They may be asking for that price on ebay but if you look closer JBaker you will see that the 03 wide glide with 8500 miles WAS OFFERED FOR $11250 but had no bids.I can ask for $30,000 for my 84 FXR but if it dont sell, whats it worth?
What I am saying is that you can find a better deal out there than seemed to be had on that 03 wide glide.
You seem somewhat defensive unless your the one selling it/......

looks to me the front turn sig. relocated, front lower forks chromed, handle bars, wide passenger floorboards, looks like VH staggered pipes, luggage rack, new seat and that is just what i can see from the pics i know i have heard you can't get nothing out of what you put on, but if you plan on doing any of this work it's money saved if you want something different as long as it's in good shape you can always get about half of what it cost new someone always looking for a deal with that said mine didn't have a lot of what has been done to this bike and remember mine came with a two year warranty from the dealer you might save a little if you get it from an individual but you'll have no warranty to fall back on. and 2 thousand miles a year on the bike i consider it to be a deal you know it ant wore out at 10500 miles
and the 100th anniversary may not be worth much now but you can bet it will be done the line as more of them are wreaked or destroyed and they are less of them available.

Ok, I see you added the Super Glide Sport. I looked at one, My wife liked it, I hated it.
Harley = chrome and bling. Chrome and Bling is expensive.
That blacked out bike just doesn't say Harley to me.
I'm not commenting on pricing, but a Wide Glide beats a Sport any day.
IMHO.
