Here in Tampa the local stealers would want 13k for that wideglide. You can get a 3 year warranty for about 1200 bucks or so.
I believe the paint does bring a higher price than comparable 03's without the anniv. 2 tone. just check your local listings and see if the price is right try to negotiate about 1000-1500 off. how 10k miles is a lot is beyond me... it's only 2k per year. If it feels right to you then buy the bike as long as the stealer does not try to screw with you. Also do not fall for the "warranty will get you a better interest rate" bull chit. If you are financing negotiate at least 2% from their initial quote. Always have an out. This means another bike or bank to leverage against your dealer. They'll move if you show them your not weak and desperate. Also do not get heated in negotiation. Stay cool... keep the poker face!
The mods don't mean **** unless they are mods you want anyway. With that in mind, if there is anything that was done that you want un-done, factor in the cost of that as well.
Look like nice bikes and fair prices but I'd be sure to factor in the cost of something brand new with a brand new warranty when I was figuring out what the best buy is.
looks to me the front turn sig. relocated, front lower forks chromed, handle bars, wide passenger floorboards, looks like VH staggered pipes, luggage rack, new seat and that is just what i can see from the pics... -snip-
Wide Glides don't come with a sissy bar and I blew that up in photoshop and I believe it has the quick release setup too. Two tone paint is spendy right out of the box. Those 2 items alone would cost you a grand new.
That bike stock lists on the H-D web site for $18k right now with the two tone paint and freight. I say $21k+ to replace it new. One year later it's maybe worth $16k even with those accessories? That's $5k in depreciation the first year alone.
The subject bike may never depreciate that much clear into the future if you take good care of it.
