Default 2005 FXDL Frontend swap

OK the engine is built and the bike hauls *** (yes with 95 CI SE HTCC Ported kit and it makes 105.2/106.4). I ran it almost 5000 miles this summer and I love it. Now for the front end.

I'm looking for a little more beef without loosing handling. I don't care for the wide glide look, I like the mid-glide look. I know Accutronix and the like make kits, but they use the stock 39 mm forks, which seem spindly and you loose your fork lock and typically have to make mods to the frame. This sounds like poor engineering to me.

I want to retain the stock front tire and fender also.

Will a 2006 FXDL front end fit on a 2005 FXDL?

Does anyone make an inverted front end specifically for the 2005 FXDL?

Bill, for one, I'd try giving Storz a call (link below).

Pretty sure they can fit up anything you need.

55mm acceptable for your needs??

Whatever you wind up going with,
keep us informed.
