My bike is better than you bike syndrome... These type of threads forking suck. [:@]They all bike dude, ride them and freaking chill. Live and let live . what can i say, if the shoe fits : wear it . [:-]
Wow, see what happens when you change over to the Dark Side....LOL
And hey, Grumpy started it! Neener neener neener!
I thought this was all in good fun, with no reason to get upset. Am I wrong?
ITS A JOKE FOR SOME FUN I did start the darn thing, but even I understood it was a frigging joke, and I've been told by experts here I am a moron.[sm=WTFsgign.gif][sm=yikesomg.gif][sm=why.gif]
By the way Grumpy........... High here yesterday was about 38F, took my bike to local dealer for a new tire.... Very nice ride. Got in close to 100 miles.
It's 36F here now, and I am jumping on the bike for short ride (maybe an hour). I hope my shocks are working.
Wow !!!! Now that's funny !!!!! I've seen the Harley "Compact" w/shield on "other" brands. Who gives a sh__? I should have not made the Intruder comment. I too have owned different brands. I miss some of em. My 69 650 Bonneville. Even my CBF900 (Silver Streak--it was very very fast for an early 80's bike!!) I have not ridden a latest generation Dyna. The last one was a rental (an 00 WG) I really like the new Fatbob. Sport tourer waiting to happen.
Of course it was a joke because everyone already knows that Dynas are better. You don't need proof. But if you did, here is all the proof you need. Go look outside. It is either Daylight or night-time or sometime in between. There. That's all the proof you need.
Ok . . . I'll bite. How exactly are they "better"? I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ here. I really want to know what you base that on. I've ridden a few (like I said no 06 or newer) Dyna's.
I doubt that they really are better, but if you had to name something, I'd go with the motor.
Softys have the TC88B motor with the B meaning it has a counter Balance in the motor which is more weight being set in motion taking away power from the motor. That, along with the heavier frame weight needed on the softy for what ever reinforcement is needed since it only has one rear shock all add up to less get-up-and-go with stock motors.
The other reason they are better is because I own one, which makes it mine and that makes it better.
Hmmm. Interesting theory. Prob allot to it. I don't know if a B motor is "slower". My buddy has a Roadking with almost the same setup I have. 203's, Carb'd. Mines faster. The only difference I can see is I have better exhaust. I have a Thunderheader, and he has the stock head pipes with Samson Rolled slip ons.
I will admit that Dyna's right out of the box are faster than the rest. They always have been. Is it a weight thing? I don't know. I'd like to see a more FL looking Dyna. I've seen a couple set up like a Heritage of a Fatboy. Really cool, I thought. I really like the new FatBob. Maybe not the dual head lights . . . That would have to grow on me.
The negative to the Dyna is, at idle and decel, they shake like a paint shaker.
