I've run oversized tires on all my ricers and I typically get by with 3/8 to 1/2" clearance That's why I tried to lower the fender on my Harley it looks ridiculous no street bike needs that much clearance.

Ed I completely agree although I'm still nervous so I will keep tabs on mine and if any problems will probably go with the metz
