I don't have any documentation on the SE A/C element. The service manual talks about the stock A/C - washing it out with lukewarm water and detergent, let it air dry, or blowing from the inside, etc.
Anyone advise on what to do about the SE A/C element? Same? Replace with K&N ?

Replace with KandN Turk.
Double check about washing that stock element.
Do a search here at HDF Dyna.
I do believe I remember hearing some horror stories,
along with pictures. Not sure.
I have read on the forums, that owner's with the SE A/C have had the paper element start to deteriorate. I switched my filter element out for a K&N #HD 0800. Auto Zone had to special order it in. They had it the next day. Cost me $42.

me too ... use a few of the $ you are saving on the service and you have a filter for the life of the bike.
did the same thing as tmitchellofpg went with the K&N HD0800 thru autozone, I've also heardsome bad luck stories with the HD paper style. never looked back on that investment.
K an N will last for ever and is very simple to clean. I got rid of my se filter and got a k and n at autozone for $32. THey had to order it but if memory serves me right it ook about 3 days to arrive.
So, went to the dealer to get fluids and gaskets. Asked about the A/C degunking juice. Parts guy directed me to the K&N cleaning kit. I already have some of that stuff as I have a K&N in my '68 Bronco (http://web.mac.com/turkeyrun/Site/Ph...es/Bronco.html).
I'll use that this time around and save my nickels for the K&N.
