Lower slider removal
So I'm planning on getting the lower slider powder coated. As I look at the instructions in the service manual for front fork removal, the instructions are as if you're remove the complete forks starting at the top and totally disassembling them. Is there a way to remove just the lower sliders without totally disassembling the entire forks?

you can do it, but it's terribly inconvenient.... best to just remove the pinch bolts ....and slide the tubes out.... place said tubes in vice in some original and creative way, and then follow the rest of the instructions that the service manual lays out
