I ran my straight shots slip ons for abouta monthwithout any other mods, and I'll tell you, it didn't run all that great. I would strongly suggest getting a fuelpak, PCIII, SERT, thundermax, any of the fuel systems.

Thanks alot gang.. Great responses all..Based on your personal experiences , which ws what I was looking for, I will get either a Fuel Pak from Vance and Hines or the PCIII. You guys answered a question from another post for me.

I am like you,I am just learning about this stuff,I have a 07 FXDL ,I read every thing that is posted on here trying to learn,and i think i will go with fuelmoto,sounds like ppl are really pleased with his work,and i for one dont want to break the bank on parts,I just want a little more sound,and i dont want my bike running lean,like everyone elsa my bike was running lean from the factory,and this is not good,I got a set of cycle shack slip ons for a little sound,and i bought a k&n filter,and now it heats up real fast,so monday i am giving fuel moto a call on th pclll pre programmed by him,believe i have raced banshee 4 wheelere,on 300 ft tracks for 10 year and i know what lean will do,for the ones that introduced us to fuel moto thank you.
