I ordered a detachable back rest for my Fat Bob yesterday - 15% for military at East Coast Harley in Dumfries VA. Also put on the chrome battery cover trim. That's probably all the chrome I'll go with for now, as don't want to take away from the black denim look. Took her out this morning to Front Royal VA and down 30 miles of Skyline Drive back through Warrenton and back into Woodbridge. Was great - longest I've ridden now in one hop, and felt good to be on the road. My PVC pipe GPS mount worked flawlessly and was even able to route the charger cord safely up to the handlebars. As a newbie, I also got to be leader of the pack for about 5 miles when a group of about 20 pulled out behind me.

Just down the road from you in F'burg. If ya ever want to get up for a ride, let me know. I'm always ready to go at a moments notice. Get to Skyline quite often myself. Bought my '07 in February and have made 7 trips to Skyline from F'burg, then over to Richmond and back up to the 'burg.

Yup, the Krispy Kreme is still here. I'll spring for the 1st cup of coffee and doughnut. Sounds like you had a great ride. I did a 100 yesterday and another 150 today. Much the same as you, saw the sun, went outside, felt great and decided to saddle up. Nothing major, back roads out through Orange, then up to Culpepper and back into the 'burg. Actually, King George, about 8 miles form Colonial Beach, but too many folks say where the hell is King George.
