Cool, thanks for the info Mud, I bet that is a fun scoot to be rippin arround on now. Mine is starting to feel slow to me, its time.
I had the evo build on hold for awhile i wasnt sure which way i wanted to go, i ended up getting it totally rebuilt. Its going back together right now, ive had the entire engine polished and the cylinders are powder coated black along with the spacer in the rocker boxes.
I have been renovating my shop so ive had no place to work so all projects were pilled into the corner of my basement. But its done now and im back at it, ive got some frame work to do. I will be getting the engine back in a couple of weeks so it should come together pretty quick now.
I thought HQ moved to the states, you meen theres actually a good performance company this side of the border

Anyways good talking wiht ya, i havnt been arround here much but have been popping in alot more lately.
More later

I was just checking there site out, youve got me thinkin,
and that can get me in trouble.
Did you go gear drive.
My research says there is not that much to gain
by going to a geardriven set of bumpsticks.
Doug's latest webtool is here -

Best to give him a call though.
The phone line is sometimes busy forever,
but it will be worth your while to keep trying.
He is a straight shooter.
He will not steer you wrong.

Hey Mud, what is the part # on your CP piston box?
they offer 3 pistons based on a 85 CC head. a 9.5,10.1, and 10.5.
the dome volumes are 4cc, 9cc, and 12cc. respectively.
My heads are at 82 CCs now, and I have the 9.5 piston to get 10.1.
Your cams are chain drive?
Doug sent the 9cc domed for my 11:1 motor.
I do believe he calculates this along with the spindrop
equated along with the gasket thickness.

I cant see the "spin drop" on your heads at all!
Is it there or not?
Last time I talked with doug he sounded like he might do away with that all together.
when I actually don't know exactly how he calculates this.
I don't think he tells exactly what all he does to anyone.

Im thinking your at 80ccs on the heads with that piston.
I have to use the SE BB gaskets with my heads, they have a .025 drop in them.
that leaves me a .030 quench.
If you used a .030 head gasket your probably right on the money!
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
heads back from Doug a few weeks ago. I thought
that maybe he had forgotten to spin drop my heads.
I gave him a buzz and he explained that before, he
could not get thin enough head gaskets. So he needed
to spin drop. My head gaskets are .027, which eliminates
the need to spin drop.
