I did it in about 20 minutes and I'm ridiculously un-mechanical. Take the mufflers off, bang the original baffles out and insert the BCTs. Pretty simple.
yep, like the others said it's only about a 2 beer job. I didn't have to take my SE II's off to change the baffles. I just took the baffle bolts out and got a stiff wire and reached in and pulled the old ones out and slid the BCT ones in. I suppose if you have alot of miles on those pipes they will be stuck alittle more but still not to bad. Good luck, mojo
Are the baales held on by screws or something or are they just in there? I nhave never changed the baffles in mine but I would like the thunder baffles as well. Does anyone know the size on the cycleshack slipons for the dyna 2007 SB?
The baffles may be stuck in there pretty good,if so,remove the pipes and the bolt that holds the baffle in,insert theend of a hammer handle down into the muffler and use another hammertodrive the baffle out.
Keep in mind that the BCT baffles have very little back pressure. If you've had you bike dyno tuned, you will have to tune it again to get it running it's best. Actually you bike will run better if you don't use the bct baffles, but it won't sound near as good.
