I just removed my OEM 2 up seat and replaced it with a solo seat. Now I have to remove the 4 square, rubber adhesive patches (bumper kit) that are stuck to the fender. One guy recommended using a heat gun and a lower temp to heat up the adhesive and peeling away the patches as they heat up. I am worried not so mcuh about the paint, but about the decal/pin stripes. I have the 35th Annv Super Glide and the fender has great red and blue stripes running down the fender.

Any thoughts?
Grab em with your fingers and pull em off.

What Mud said, did it just the other day, had the 2 up seat, I think I had 8 pads to pull off.
While pulling them off with fingers, stuck em back on the bottom of the seat on the flat spots.
This way I'll have em again if needed.
I did the same thing this morning. They lifted right off. No residue left on the fender. I then just turned them over and placed them on the seat where they were placed on the fender. Took all of10 minutes including the seat removal.

Thanks guys. The obvious choice wins. I pulled them off this morning and placed them under the 2 up seat for later use. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks a lot.
