Default Chrome Lower Belt Guard

Just ordered the Hd Chrome Lower Belt Guard from Zanotti.

HD website says it fits over the existing black plastic guard.

If anyone has installed one, will I have to completely remove the existing one? Or the does thenew one have slots that slide through loosened bolts?

Thanks,
Sammi

It fits over the black one. No need to remove the black one. 5 minute install.

My stock plastic cover needed to be trimmed a bit to fit into the chrome cover, so it was easier for me just to remove it, put the two together, and re-install.

Just out of curiosity, how does it attach?

The same three screws that hold the plastic one on.

There are 3 screws/bolts that hold the plastic one on. 1 toward the front of the bike and 2 toward the rear under the swingarm. Just remove the 2 toward the rear, fit the chrome cover over the plastic one, line up the holes, and put the screws back in. Very easy install. The bottom of the chrome cover is curved. Just make sure to slide the curved "slot" over the bottom of the plastic cover so they don't end up flapping against each other at the bottom.
