ORIGINAL: XKROME

ORIGINAL: glide05

you got a very nice mix there Jay.
don't go f'n it up by painting too much stuff black.
LOOKS BAD A$$! we have similar taste as well as names
don't listen to glide05, black out as much as you want

XKROME
Jay - XKROME is right - you should get out a can of black Krylon and eventually it will look like every other bike here on the Street Bob Forum.

Good one Glide.................

I actually agree with you on the too black thing. I did what I did because I have the silver motor and it gives some contrast. Throw in a little bit of chrome here and there and it's all good to me. Definitely not another like it around here, that's for sure.

Shooter, the wires don't go through the clamps like the HD ones do. I just have them running underneath the clamps and through the brake line clamp underneath the trees and back through the frame.

Got some parts back from powdercoating today. Couldn't wait to see the difference so I got right to it after work tonite. Also added some other parts I picked up along the way from a forum member (thanks Lo............). Had my strut covers, and turn signals done in wrinkle black. I'm really happy with the way it came out. Gives the struts just the right contrast to my Pacific Blue tins.

Big props go out to Metal Mike for doing an excellent job on powdercoating the parts for me! The finish looks sweet and matches up well with all the other wrinkle stuff I have added.

I also finally got rid of the batwing turn signal mounts and put the kit I got from JP Cycles on. Makes the front end look so much better now. Could beat the price either , at 21.99 for the set.

Here's a couple of pics to show off the new work. I am the first to admit I am the worlds worst photog and I had to do it in the garage, but I figured I would give it a go anyway.

Is that a SG or a Bob? J/K

The bike looks great Jay!!!

I've got a question tho.
Why isn't the horn completely powder coated.
Every one I see only has the bell part done ... and the tab on the top left chrome.
I figure there must be a reason.

Anyway, your bike looks sick! ... I especially like the bars.
