Hey Trotter......
Just read a article writed by a tuner named Joe Minton ( supposed to be A1 Harley tuner ), and the meat of his article says my low speed jet is fine. My high speed jet is rich. And all I need to do after changing pipes and going to a free breathing air cleaner, is richen the idle mixture a tad, and install a 88'-89' sportster needle.
Sound right to you?
Bought the bike used. I know someone has at least touched the idle mixture screw , because the cap is gone. Was planning on just seating the mix screw and going out 2 1/2 turns and going from there.
Elevation... I can see my boat in it's saltwater berth from my deck !
No I dont know that the stock 42 low jet is still in there. I'm just assuming it is by the slightly light color of the plugs at the end of my riding season.
Just getting a handle on this picture posting thing and thought I'd give it a go.
I'm a computer moron !

I installed the '88 sportster needle and checked the idle screw, it was about 2 1/4 turns, set it to 2 1/2. Installed Ness B.S, and fired it up. Seems good, but I'm a month to month and a half to getting on the road and giving it a good test run.
Hey, when you get a chance, I'd like to see a side view of your bike. Which pipes do you have on there and do you like them?
Thanks,
There Vance&Hines Big Radius. They have only been on for a week and the bike is un-insured for the winter, so I hav'nt had a chance to go for a rap yet, but they sound good idleing.
I'll get some better outdoor pics when the weather improves. That shed is only 9' wide and the bike shares that with a Z-turn mower, so no real room to take side on shots.

Cheers... Ben.
Cool, I know how that is.. I have SE slip-on'son my '94 and like them pretty well, but I like the look of yours and VH usually sound pretty good too. So, I may change them out at some point. Thanks, I'm looking forward to more pics..
