the best thing to do is . one time you buy something for comfort . next time you buy for other before you know it you are done . for awhile at list you think till you come up with something else.

Everything I have bought for my Bob has been for comfort and style, all I care about is riding so it doesn't matter to me if I'm the last one to get from point A to point B or not. I have done just about everything to my Bob that I wanted to except the exhaust so that is my next project but your right when you say it's not just the cost of the pipes your looking at because you've got to figure in the race tuner or power commander for remapping the ECM along with a stage 1 air cleaner kit to optimize your benefits of a performance exhaust. I figure you looking at about $750-1000 or more by the time your said and done with the exhaust. This is why it was the last thing on my list, you can buy alot of comfort stuff for the cost of putting on an exhaust.

Excellent question urdollar, but I suspect it is a very individual, subjective kinda thing. To me comfort also implies a good running and sounding machine as well as a suspension that handles really well. If the scoot doesn't scoot, what's the point? But, on the other hand, if it doesn't float your boat stylistically or help you feel in control, are ya gonna want to ride it?

I jumped right in 'cuz I had planned out a lot of things ahead of time and included them in my original budget. But that's just me, a research and planning freak who enjoys that almost as much as riding the final product.

If I was you, I might ride it a bit while I start saving up some cash, get to know your bike's strengths and weaknesses, and that'll go a long way to helping you to figure out your priorities. Do some planning and researc to get the best prices, then you'll be able to get the most bang for the buck$.

Oh, and for those that don't know me, I'm a cheap yankee SOB and hate spending $$ unnecessarily on stuff only to have regrets and have to redo later 'cuz I wasn't using the ol' noggin'!

Good Luck and enjoy the process! In the end it probably doesn't matter a hill of beans, you'll spend way more than you ever thought!
