so the next time you put a tire on or whatever you don't have to take off the exhaust. take off the bottom belt guard and let the wheel drop straight down so you don't have to loosen the adjustment and every thing should be fine..
Chances are, he'd have to take the muffler off again to tap the axle out from the right side anyway. I'd suggest not giving a dealer any excuses for denying you warranty work should you have a rear end problem and just go ahead put the axle back in like it came out. Just my opinion... Do what you want.
If you do need to move your axle adjusters to aid in removing or replacing your axle, just mark each bolt at 12:00, then count the number of turns you put on them. Easy to put them back exactly where they were.
