bporter, i'm not sure if your question is directed at me but you could go to jacksflaps website and ask him if there's a jacket in the works. He's good about answering emails.
This isn't my product, sorry if it sounded that way. I just had heard good things about it.
I am talking to a Perry on the phone and we were discussing this exact problem. He is a Vrod owner and had the same problem. He pulled the full windshield off and put the wind deflector on. It keeps it off his body and his head is in the wind but not being tossed around.
Myself I have the touring windshield on my FXDLI and have it set so I just see over the top about 1". It does good unless I am running 80. Mine is on quick releases and I can move it as i need to.
No, I tried a set on my leather harley jacket and the material is so supple that the flaps just wrinkle the material under the flaps and the flaps just go vertical and don't do right. Besides, when it is cold I put on my thermals and then my quilted long-sleeve, then my leather jacket, then I let out the laces on the sides of the vest so it will fit correctly, then I go ride. Honest guys, the vest was set up so it will fit over anything you want to put on and if your jacket is black, nobody can even see that you have a vest on farther than 20 feet away so riding down the freeway, it just looks like you have on a black leather jacket, except your glasses aren't jiggling, your helmet aint shakin and your neck and chin aren't freezing. I went to the V.A. this morning and it was 34*. I wore my long johns and the above described garments and was surprised how cold we didn't get after 35 miles at 80 mph on the freeway. The humidity must have been pretty low because sometimes we both complain at that temp and that speed. By-the-way, For those who live in the northwest, rocky mountain, and northeast regions, Quickthrottle magazine should have a product review of the "AeroVest" in the February edition. Robert Sweeney did a real nice job of explaining the concept of the aerodynamics and how well it works, and for those in Cal. and the southwest region, the article is in this month's issue---jack
My full face helmet creates the same problem for me. If I use the 3/4 or 1/2 helmet it is not an issue. The top of my full length quick release windhsheild stops right where my line of vision beghins. Good luck
