My Low Rider......
Got the 180 Screamin Eagle on an standard laced wheel (streetbob) on the rear, and a 21" on the front.
All of the Low Ridersin this thread look great......ALL OF THEM!!
Color doesn't really matter, never seen one that didn't get my attention.
Then again.....we ALL knew that, right?
Of course......the tins on Jake's L/R REALLY is an exception..........looks great!!
The Dyna Glides had what I was looking for in a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The Low Rider has everything I wanted, custom color, chrome, rubber mounted engine, and ability to be ridden aggressive. I have heard that the Dyna Glide Models only out sell the V-Rods. It sure would be nice to know what family sells the most.
MIKETOW...... well, I dont know about Dyna "family" sales, but I do have some numbers from Harley for Low Rider sales in 2007. I purchaseda Custom Two Tone Color which wasonly available during April/May. I knew it wasn't going to be a popular color, so I wrote to Harley asking them the date my bike was made and how many came off the line in that color. They wrote me a really nice letter saying that 7,533 Dyna Low Riders were produced world wide, my bike was made on April26th and only 61produced my two tone green. I asked about my Husband's 2006Heritage Softail Classic which also is a Custom Two Tone Color. They said the total production of Heritage Classic's in 2006was 19,267 andonly 558 weremade in his two tone green.
It seems like more people are drawn to the Glide, Street Bob, and Fat Bob.
Lost souls I'd say. But hey, everybody can't be right. Ah, just injecting some humor there. I love the LR and think they really have a custom look to them. I know I am biased but really don't understand why more folks ride them. It's okay with me to be more exclusive.
They are very nice bikes indeed, but given the choice over it or my Street Bob ans I'd still keep my Street Bob but that is just my personal prefferences.
