Default Dyna Drag Bar options ???

Whazzup boys.

New here, 2005 Dyna Wide Glide is 1 of my bikes.
I have a question for you guys. (Any and all pics are welcome as well)

I bought it from my cousin who is the finance director at Chicago Cycle
fully loaded with 4600 miles on it and well decked out. Aside from the
fact that I hate these risers or bars or whatever the technical name is.
The look I'm shooting for here is drag bars like what were on the HD
Mickey Rourke had in HD and Marlboro Man.

I'd really like to extend my rake out even though yes, I've heard you sacrifice
some ride comfort, I want the style more then I care about the ride.
One of my buds recommened I buy some 6" dog bones and some $60
bars off ebay to rectify my situation. Figured I'd ask some of the more
experienced guys here too. Any thoughts , opinions ???

These are the bars I want.

I would like to extend my rake out as well and I heard there's some triple tree
options out there to do this with. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
These are the bars I have now and I can't stand them. I hate the look of them
pulling back so far. They're comfortable, but I don't like the look.

I figured if I can rake it out more, I won't have to lean as far forward either.
Looking for options and pricing. Thanks.

If you go with risers and drag bars, I think it would look better if you use 1 1/4 diameter components rather than 1". You should be able to find 6" 1 1/4 risers on ebay.

As far as changing the rake, the WG already has some rake in the trees - 2 deg I think. Not sure how much more you can add. To make a significant change - you're gonna have to cut the frame and change the rake there. Then you'll need new forks because the old ones will be too short. Pretty pricey modification.

1 1/4" wild one bars on fxdwg with 116" motor. i find the drag bars to be very comfortable. i am 6'2" and even with a seat that moves me back 2" for my legs, i do not have to lean forward to reach the bars. if i sit upright, my arms are not completely straight, yet i can lean forward and still be very comfortable. nice for very long rides where i want to change riding position for comfort.

another pic. bike has 3" tank lift so bars may seem to be shorter than they actually are.

One and a quarter inch T-bars - 8 inches up - 3 inches back - all one piece.

I'm 5'8' and I sit on a LePera bare bones seat that sets me back and lower.

These bars set my arms pretty much straight out from my shoulders andat the right angle to make it very comfortable. I have riden 400 miles in a day, last June, and got up the next morning and went for a ride. Extreme comfort.
