I think my preference for the mids stems from years and years spent riding Japanese standards.

I like my feet under me. It just feels more natural.

I'm 6' 4", so it is a tad tight. My new LePera seat helped a lot, though- I can slide back further.

I'm 6' 7" and my forwards almost feel like mids to me. Ran my bike for about 300 miles before I went with the forwards and feel I am very much in control. I guess if I was shorter and had better knees I would have stuck with the mids too.

I skipped work today it was 88 degrees in Dallas. I am bad. I was sick all weekend and I don't know how I am going to explan my sunburn but back to the topic. I rode about 200 miles today and having the mids for the windy conditions was a god sent. I did go back and forth to the highway pegs but I felt more in control on the blacktop doing 85 with mids. Winds were gusting to 35 miles and I had a shield on the bike and when I went to highway pegs it was a struggle. I am only 5'5" though.

I left the mid shaft in place just in case I wanna go back to mids, I glued this skull cap with black gasket silicone to keep it from moving.

Like my mids and have the highways pegs when the legs need to stretch (which is often).

I have kept my mids also. I do have highway pegs but the mids feel more comfortable to me.
