First - let me apologize to txtec, I did not mean to hijack your thread.
I was just looking for txtec's insight since he has made a switch and now is switching back.
With the kit sitting in my garage and the pain of installation on the 06 and ups switching back seems to be a bigger dal now then in the past.
I have ridden for years with mids and always thought I would prefer forwards... just a little put off by the complexity of the new kit as a way to try them.
Again sorry txtec - the derailing of your "anyone have question" was not my intention.
as the original starter of this controversy i had a 06 1200 custom sportster .i liked the forwards on, very comfortable .traded it for a 06 dyna and put on forwards , they are about 2 in, farther forward very uncomfortable to me .they are coming off. granpaw use to say opinions are like aholes everybody has one
