and i lived (and rode frequently) in that area less than a month ago. [>:]

Ouch, I've been in one of those before and can definitely relate. I woke up still in the car with blood running down my face (no seatbelt). Next time I woke up was in the ambulance and then again in the ER. Very surreal. I was also hit by a drunk driver. He didn't fair as well. It was his Toyota against my 78 Monte Carlo. Did the police tell you if you reacted to avoid the crash? I had told the trooper that I didn't react but he said my skid marks proved otherwise. Amnesia related to shock can be quite the blessing.
You are definitely going to be sore for a bit. Make sure you get rechecked after a couple of weeks. They didn't discover that my shoulder had a small fracture until later.
