Since the FatBob has gotten more popular and there seem to be quite a few folk with em now, I'd like to know if anyone has installed a handlebar mounted tach. I'm talking about the classic, round 2 5/8" mini tach, not a combo speedo/tach. Harleys' website just doesn't list them for the FatBob. Is there an electrical difference between the FatBob & the WideGlide? Being the lazy individual that I am I'd rather someone else experiment with it & just tell me how.

If you have an '08 Dyna service manual, lookat the electrical diagrams in the back. If the tach signal comes from pin 3 of the ECM connector, it's the same as all other '06 up Dynas andno reason electrically why a mini tach wouldn't work. If you don't have a manual, maybe somebody with one will be kind enough to look.
I'm guessing they don't have a mounting bracket for the Fat Bob risers or they haven't updated the catalog yet. If you look at a closeup of the the Wide Glide and Fat Bob risers on Harleys website, they look very similar and the 67268-06AWide Glide bracket may work.
On the website, click WALKAROUND& 360° then the Rider view and then zoom in on the risers.
