I just ordered the 4 pistons two days ago; about $900+ for the set. I've heard nothing but good things about them and PM's chrome quality is second to none. My wheels are from them and they are top notch; money well spent.
You're getting into the dollar stratosphere with that bike. Looks great though. One of the bikes that put me over the top on ordering the Big Radius which are about to go on my Bob.
also +1 on the opinion that stock Harleys have joke brakes.
Getting into the stratopsphere? I think I'm there, but fortunately, barring any small details, this is just about it. I'll be able to look at her more cloesely once I'm home to see what I may have missed. I figured that I might as well do it now while I can.
The only thing I didn't do, and on purpose, is that I haven't changed out the timing cover. It's still aluminium. I have a challenge coin that commemorates my time here in Iraq and I'm going t see about securing it to it. It's about the right size so we'll see. I wanted some way to have something about my time here on the bike since that is how I was able to pay for it, so this might do it.
Jack... i showed my brother your bike today... he fell in love! he has a sporty COVERED in chrome... your bike is just his style! very nice man... i know you hear it all the time, but wow... very nice!
PM brakes seem to get an extremely good reputation here.
Better get myself a set for the front. (can't afford the rears at the moment).
What brake pads do you guys recommend for the PM calipers?
I wind up using Ferodo (sp?)pads. That is what the guys at Strokers here in Dallas recommend. Cost for F and R, I believe is around $80. I chose the pads that don't wear so quick as the ones I initially had in there from PM.

I was out riding with a friend who has about a 2000 Titan and I noticed that it came with PM Brakes and they were still looking brand new. And he has put alot of miles on it. That impressed me.
