Detailing your bike
How have you guys been detailing your bikes? I usually wipe mine down before a ride with some Plexus and a microfiber towel. The area I need help with is the engine. I live in the Mojave desert which has crazy wind and lots of dust. I really want to get my motor looking good. Especially in the fins. I use S100 engine bright but need to get all of the dust out of the nooks and crannies. Should I just hose it off or is their a better way?

Neal, use the s100 total cycle cleaner or simple green or some sort of degreaser. I use one of the first two. fI wet the COOL bike down with the hose and then spray the cleaner all over the engine. Then use a paint brush to get inbetween the cooling fins and spread the cleaner around. Hose off, blow dry and hit it with engine brightener or pig spit which I find a little cheaper.
