Cold weather and long hauls . one time and one time only wore with shorts comeing home from Kentucky at 95 % humidity felt like cental air and all the boys said I looked like a member of the village people.

I wear them on the cool mornings and on longer rides, alot of gravel and hard shell bugs around here. It's up to you and how comfortable you will be riding in them.

Will they help with the heat issue some folks have mentioned with the new 96s? Lots of people saying their Fat Bobs pipes are extremely hot and have even gone through jeans according to one poster. Chaps help here?

Same here, just when the weather is cold. If you do get some, make sure that you spend some money on some and not the cheap kind. Make sure that they have the removeable cold weather linning incase you decide to wear them on long trips during the summer.

dude get a pair from jafrum.com for 40 bucks and you'll be in good shape. thats what i did and I love mine. Chaps make cold weather riding much more enjoyable. I live in vegas so it goes from 30 degrees to 120. definately a good investment
