Chaps? WHY???

Cut off trousers...how can they protect you in an 'off', eh? FFS..

Absolute waste of time & money IMO

They are cut off around your pockets so you don't have to pull them down to get your keys, wallet, zipper etc.As far as protection goes they're obviously not as good as a set of Tourmaster or Joe Rocket riding pants at three times the cost. However on the other hand ever try walking around in a set of tourmaster pants? Hope you got saddle bags or someplace else to stow em because they're good for walking from your house to the garage or from your parking place to desk.I wear mine when it's cold and leave em home when it's not.By the way I wore out a set of Tourmaster pants which were really nice riding pants but I don't ride that much when it's cold anymore so now I've got chaps.

I only wear mine if its over 100.
Actualy I take them and jacket on any long trip any month of the year, was on a road trip couple yrs ago glad I had em, middle of august, temp went from 100 to 34 in 20 miles up into the rockies, some snow still left, other than that I have no use for wearing in hot weather, I know folks that do though.
Cheap works great for me, I never spent over 60 buckes on a pr, and wore them for yrs.

Definitely when it's cold. Highway, if I remember to put them on. Don't always. They do help just a tad when you have cars kicking up small bits of gravel. Just a tad.

They work great when it's cold out and protect reasonably well. You will get some negative comments from others.

I only wear mine to church, with my fingerless gloves and a do-rag under a cowboy hat. And I never wear pants with them.

Wear them riding all the time, unless I'm going to work. Comfortable, protective, don't have the pant legs flappin in the breeze.
