What does everyone carry on their bike in case of breakdown. What tools, parts etc. I want to put together a small kit before riding season starts but not sure what all to put in it. Any ideas would be great. Would love to have the whole tool box and bag full of spare parts but I know that is not reasonable. From experience what are the esentials. Thanks
I just carry a leatherman do it all... seems to work in every situation, mine has an attachment for ratchets so i have a few of the stars and correct ratchet sizes as well... other than that my AAA card

Or you can go copy the kit at the hardware store for 30 bucks.
Check this post out in the Tech Forum if you're looking for a comprehensive list of items for a tool kit. Windzone also makes some good tool kits. But it's just as easy to make up your own kit based on how much space/weight you want to take up. Leatherman, mini flashlight, torque bits, tie wraps, a bulb or two, and a cell phone seems to be the minimum w/a good road side assistance policy (AAA, your own ins. co. rider, HOG etc). Frankly, most newer bikes hold up pretty well these days, so it's as much about peace of mind as it is a necessity.
