Your dealer lied or is out of his mind. There is no Cat in a Dyna exhaust.

The HD download changes the values in the algarithm tables of the ECM. One time deal, and is set up for the HD Slip ons, and SE A/C

V&H FuekPack, Screaming Eagle Race Tuner (SERT), Power Commander III (PCIII), ect are all after market electronics that in one way or another change the ECMcalculations allowing the Injectors to stay on longer, richening up the lean mixturecaused by unrestricted pipes and A/C.

Where the HD D/L is a one time set up, and can not be adjusted, these aftermarket products can be "tweakedto different set ups. The Fuel Pack I beleive is gear just towards V&H pipes.

ORIGINAL: dynamolowrider

Quick ? I dont have the money to get slipons highflow air cleaner & download yet but cant stand the stock sound my brother used a keyhole saw and very nicely removed the baffels from his wifes sporty would the o2 sensers keep it from runing to lean.
I'm going to go back to the original question, and away phrom the EPA, Harley's are always lean phrom the phactory discussion here, and offer a poor man's comprimise solution.

You want sound right? Got no money.

Give this a shot.

Get an 18' long 3/8" drill bit. Stick that sucker in there, and drill one hole in the end cap of one of your mufflers. Run it phor a bit. Still not enough sound? Do it again to the other.

You will not be opening it up enough to lose much if any back pressure, you will not be dramatically increasing an already lean condition. And if you are planning on replacing the stock mufflers at some point in the phuture anyway, what the hell?

I thought about that as well, but did not. Reason being if for some reason I had to go back to the stock set up, I would not be able to.

Take off stock mufflers are a dime a dozen on ebay. If you had to go back, you could pick them up phor about the price of the drill bit.
