I have the jp-2 and love them. Well worth the money. You do need to make sure which ever model you choose fits correctly. I tried the Top Jimmie and they did not fit. Sent them back and tried the JP-2 and they fit like a glove.

Tried a number of different ones including the Jake. I went with the AirRage with light adjusting lenses. Best all around fit and going 70 down the hwy I never get a bit of air leak. With contacts a good seal is important. I don't remember on the Jake, but I would recommend getting one with the strap that snaps onto the frame so you can pull it snug to your face. Instead of ordering them online I located the nearest dealer and they were nice enough to order in 5 different pairs for me to try. I am glad I did because I wasn't planning on getting the AirRage.

I say go with what feels good and works. You guys should check out this website:

www.sportclic.com

I've had them for about 1&1/2 years and are the most comfortable glasses/goggles I have ever worn.

thinking about throwing the strap on this year, maybe....if not, i can just buy new seals

I just bought the Wiley X "Brick" and they work better than advertised. I love tghe light adjustments too.
+1. The only ****ling thing I can say about them is that they're polarized, so I get color distortion when wearing my modular full face w/shield.

Mine fit fine, block wind great. My only issue is that they never get dark enough for me, can only use them at night.

I have prescription lenses in mine, have both sunglass, and clear for night riding. The only problem I have with mine is when I'm riding thru rain. Mine fog up like crazy, and there are times that I need to pull over, not because of the rain, but because of the fog on the lenses. The unfortunate thing is, I haven't found anyway to stop the fogging.

Respects,
Ed

Have you tried the old scuba trick of a drop or two of dishwashing detergent or J&J No More Tears liquid soap on the inside of the lenses when they are dry before you head out? Just spread it out thoroughly on the lenses with your finger tips and you should be good in most potential fogging situations. Doesn't last forever, so re-coat before the next trip. Before I remembered this I had tried Rain-X Anti-fog wipes which didn't work very well at all.

2 things I've learned I can't easily order online - helmets and riding glasses. I won't go into helmets but glasses have to fit properly to work properly. There are some very effective, inexpensive glasses out there and there some very expensive glasses out there that won't be effective at all if they don't fit right. So this is not one of those things you can just throw more money at and get what you need. Your eyes streaming is caused by too much air moving through the glasses and over your eyes causing them to tear up. If the glasses fit around your eye socket properly, this doesn't happen. And you don't have to spend a ton of money to get the proper fit with a decent lense.

I went to a bike event and went from vendor to vendor trying on glasses until I found the perfect pair. When I found them, I bought a pair of sunglasses with nice polarized lenses for $18 and bought an identical pair of frames with clear lenses for night riding for another $18. They have a lifetime guarantee on them that covers anything but loss. If I want, I can run over them with my bike and send them in with a few bucks and they will replace them. I like them so much, I use them when mowing my lawn to keep the flying debris out of my eyes.

Take that info for what it's worth to you. I don't typically wear cheap sunglasses. For the past 20 years, I've either owned Ray Bans, Oakleys, or Costa Del Mars for driving, fishing, or whatever. I'm willing to pay the price for good eye protection and comfort when justified. But, just sending off $100+ isn't going to guarantee that comfort and/or fitment. I'd find somewhere that sells them and go try them on. Then, if I could find a significantly better price online, go back and order them then.
