We used the dish soap trick on our gas mask lenses in Chem Corps. It really works! Little dab of soap on clean fingers, spread it around and wipe 'em dry with a clean 100% cotton or microfiber cloth - use the same cloth again for touch ups as it will hold a little soap. They won't fog, but they'll collect little water drops after a while.
Doesn't work as well on helmet visors - no idea why.
I got a pair of the SG-1 (I think) in Iraq. They have the different lenses with little air vents that I put silicone in to seal them and they work great. I cant stand any air in my eyes and these block as well as the Birdz I had but are smaller.
I have the SG-1s too, they work great I even gota second set from bargan outfitters for like 15 bucks. You can get them on ebay for around 10-15 why not get them instead of the jakes, unless you are trying to make a statement?
I have problems changing the lenses easily on my XL-1, but on the road without the strap I can turn my head to the side and they stay on my face withouta problem.I would like to try the light adjusting.
