Default Progressive front end questions

First where do you buy the standard fork spring kit for a late model Dyna? I'm finding plenty of lowering kits online but not the standard springs. And second is there any real advantage in using the lowering kit? as opposed to using the standard springs and just sliding the forks up in the trees.I already have the 11" shocks on the rear and want to finally "finish" the suspension on my bobber.

Progressive makes the standard spring (in progressive rate) which is a vast improvement over stock and available in the current JP catalog. as for lowering i haven't done it and probably won't so someone else is better to comment on that.

i lowered mine with the kit only thing i could see being an advantage over sliding tubes is that its stiffer. ive never done it but i figure if u slid the tubes 2" it would probly bottom out.
